Stephanie comes to MWAC after nearly four years with the Michigan Department of Transportation, where she earned national recognition for her work in publications and Web site design. While at MDOT, she also served as the lead spokesperson for the highly successful M-6 and US-31 Bypass public relations campaigns and public outreach programs in the Grand Rapids area. Litaker also brings an extensive background in event planning, having planned and executed major events for former Gov. John Engler and current Gov. Jennifer Granholm.

In 2003, Rockafellow was recognized for outstanding performance by the American Association of Highway Professionals for outstanding public outreach and project completion.

Stephanie began her career in communications as a reporter and producer at WKZO radio in Kalamazoo, where she earned recognition for local news coverage and special events producing. While at WKZO, she also was the lead news coverage producer working closely with CBS News in New York.

Stephanie has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Journalism from Western Michigan University.
